Numerous outdoor sports and activities abound due to the welcoming California weather and hospitable roads and landscapes. Bike riding, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, walking and golf are all possible. The Recreation Department, AYSO and other organizations also offer sports leagues for children. In addition to outdoor activities there a numerous cultural organizations such as the Solvang Theatrefest, Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts and other live musical and stage productions in Santa Barbara County.

Los Olivos/Solvang Weather

The Santa Ynez Valley has one of the finest climates in the state of California. Prevailing west-north westerly breezes keep the temperature mild and the air smog free. Winter highs average in the 60's with night time lows in the 30's. Summer daytime temperatures usually range in the 70's and 80's. Average seasonal rainfall is 16 inches with most of it occurring between November and April.
